The man who refused to stay ordinary
Lionel Hervé Wafo Wagne grew up in western Cameroon, in Mbo-Bandjoun, then earned a degree in chemistry at the Faculty of Science of the University of Douala.
Passionate about decoration, he spent three months perfecting his craft in Qatar and came back with one idea: that a Cameroonian building could have the finish of the finest homes in Europe and America. Plasterwork, painting, damp treatment: OBAMA DESIGN starts there, and becomes a registered company in 2014.
He trains his teams himself and keeps the people he has trained. His ambition, as early as 2018: open branches in Yaoundé, Bafoussam, Kribi and the North, and bring this know-how into vocational training.
